Egypt maintained a winning streak in friendly matches on their trip to Sudan with a second win in as many matches over Chad.
After beating Uganda 2-1 a few days ago, coach Bob Bradley's charges won 4-0 against Chad in Omdurman. Both teams are in Sudan preparing for the forthcoming qualifiers for CAN 2013
Goals from inform Mohamed Salah and captain Ahmed Khairi an own goal and a final one from Ahmed Mekky sealed the score line. Egypt fielded a side without a number of regulars who had to return to their clubs for this coming weekend's interclub competitions but the Pharaohs were still too strong for Chad.
New recruits like Khairi, Ashour Al-Taqui and Mohamed Al-Nenni put up some eye catching performances during the match. Salah opened the scoring on 30th minute, finishing brilliantly after some fine work from his club-mate Al-Nenni.
Just before the half time Salah turned provider sending in a corner that was headed home by Khairi. Coach Bob Bradley threw in Salah Ashour and Mekky who managed to reinvigorate the attack. It was Police Union striker Salah whose persistence forced Chadian defender Hassan Hissein to beat his own keeper in the 88th minute. Just before the final whistle Ahmed Hassan Mekky scored the fourth goal.
After the match Bob Bradley spoke of his satisfaction with how Egypt had played against Chad especially in the second half. "I'm pleased with our camp in Sudan as it produced many positives for us, the most important of which is the high spirit and determination of the new players", he said.
"We need more games to build and reinforce the harmony amongst our players and also to increase our fitness levels before the official matches", Bradley concluded.
