Guitar Chord Library for Windows Phone is a free app we've downloaded on our Nokia Lumia 800 that shows you the correct way to place your fingers on a fretboard to create all manner of chords. Find out whether it strikes the right note with our Guitar Chord Library review for Windows Phone.
When we were kids, the basic idea of playing a guitar was 'here's three chords now go form a band!' and that adage still holds true. But what happens if you want to be more than a 3-chord wonder? Well, apps like Guitar Chord Library give you a basic grounding in where your fingers need to go.

What it doesn't do is help with technique or how to string them together but if you're learning a new song and have the tabs in front of you and aren't sure of the finger arrangement then Guitar Chord Library is invaluable.
The interface is incredibly simple, on the left hand side there is the full scale, from A and A# all the way down to G and G#, while on the right hand side you can choose from how it needs to be phrased, from Major, 7th down to Minor 7th.
Simply choose what you need by tapping, the chord selected will appear above the GO button, which you tap to find out the placing for your fingers. This second page is once again quite simple with a standard Tab layout with the individual string names at the foot of the page and where the first fret is.
We've found Guitar Chord Library a simple and highly usable app. If you're anything like us and you learn a guitar part from a Tabs page on the internet then having this sat beside you on your Nokia Lumia is a simple but versatile addition that could even stop arguments between musicians! ?
